Earthquakes "Get ready for more and bigger"

There is no doubt that earthquake activity is on the rise so get ready.  If you live in an area prone to quakes get you and your loved ones on a plan.  This should be second nature so that you can act without thinking.  You can not hide in a ditch everyday but here are a few things to think about.
Super market, school, high rise, parking garage
Bad Idea- Wide open interior spaces with flat roofs prone to collapse
                 Poured concrete slab construction pancakes easily
                 Falling bricks crush everything.
In our modern world we built taller with relatively light materials which fall down faster that they went up.......
